Pilates - Progressive Movement

Pilates is known for being a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength.  Classes are designed using progressive movement (skills that we build on) to help activate our muscles, build our understanding of how our body moves, all the while strengthening ourselves in a safe and functional manner.    
It is important to note that this class is not taught under the Classical Pilates method. Our teacher, Diana has been trained by Body Harmonics Movement & Health in Toronto, Ontario who has shifted their Pilates focus to progressive & functional movement for safety, sustainability & longevity.   There is still focus on strengthening the core but we go a lot deeper working from the inner unit and then our outer unit.
